This Garlic Bread Recipe goes perfectly with a nice heaping plate of pasta! This is also a Vegan Garlic Bread because I use only plant-based ingredients; trust me, you won’t notice the difference!
Although I’ll eat pretty much any Homemade Garlic Bread put in front of me, Garlic Bread is one of those recipes that’s simple but can easily be miscalculated. You have to have the right temperature, the right amount of butter, and the right bread. A good recipe should yield slices which are crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside; the garlic and herb flavors should be pronounced even if the bread is thick. Good Garlic Bread can hold a nice heaping spoonful of pasta sauce without becoming soggy.
Quick word about this being a vegan recipe. As long as you add plenty of vegan butter, loads of garlic and herbs, you really won’t miss the cheese. Just want to encourage you to go for it! The reward is worth it!

- Parsley

How To Make Garlic Bread
- Let butter set out until it becomes soft and room temperature.
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Slice bagquette into 6 inch sections and then cut each section in half lengthwise.
- Add butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning to a mixing bowl; mash butter to break it up and then mix it with the other ingredients until well combined and spreadable.
- Spread herb and garlic butter evenly over each slice of bread.
- Place bread slices, buttered side up, in the oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until slightly golden brown.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle each slice with freshly chopped parsley.
Don’t forget to use my Garlic Oil recipe! You can add a few tablespoons to the butter instead of minced garlic.
Can I Freeze It?
Yes you can! After you spread each slice with garlic and herb butter, you can tuck the slices of bread into a freezer bag and freeze them for up to 3 months. However, this is such a quick recipe that you probably won’t need to meal prep here. However, it might be helpful if you make the garlic and herb butter in advance so that when you buy some fresh bread you can quickly make this recipe. And, it’s always nice to have some good garlic butter on hand!
